Chapter ten

His damn teeth wouldn’t retreat. Keeping a hold in her hair allowed him to keep her away from him. The last thing Noah wanted to do was mate her against her will. He’d given her everything to prepare her.

The scare of the black bear didn’t douse the arousal of their chase. At least not now that the threat was over. Their desire had gone dormant, but it had been that desire and adrenaline that attracted the young, curious black bear to begin with.

She was slick and hot around him. His grip on her hip was bruising. He had to. Letting her go wasn’t an option for a long time.

Blair had closed her eyes and her lips parted in a silent scream as he took her. As much of a claiming as he dared. Her small fingers dug into the tree trunk.

“I want to hear the truth from you, kitten.” Noah worded this carefully. No dares. No chance for her to turn it around. She understood the truth he referred to. He’d spent hours showing her.

“It’s too soon.” But she said it more like a question to herself.

“There’s no timeline with this. It is what it is, and nothing can change it.” Noah loosened his hold on her hair and ran his hand down her spine. His thrusts continued, measured and hard.

“Noah.” She cried out and arched her back, pushing her ass toward him. He fought the urge to go faster.

“Tell me, Blair. Let go. Stop trying to hide it away.”

She whimpered and dropped her forehead against the tree.

A single hard thrust settled himself all the way inside her, and he held himself there. “Blair.”

“I love you, too.” Tears escaped in her gasping voice.

“I know, kitten.” Noah moved again, resuming his measured pace, but only until Blair looked over her shoulder at him. Rounded eyes begged for something.

Breathing heavily, she tilted her head to the left, further than he’d been holding her with his grip on her hair. She didn’t break eye contact. She knew what she was doing. His teeth were still sharp and ready.

He’d lost his voice. Straining, he tried to give her one last warning of what he was about to do, but the only sound that escaped him was a growl.

Her walls quivered around him and his orgasm rushed him. The sensation had been unexpected. Moving his hand back up her spine, he held the back of her neck in the exact position she offered.

“Come.” He mouthed the word, as his voice was still unpredictable. She cried out and bucked her hips in the small amount of space she had.

Noah took his own advice and let go. Leaning forward, he let his teeth graze her neck, up and down, over her shoulder. Her climax kept going and once he bit her, it would start all over again. He waited for his release. Holding it back wouldn’t work much longer.

“Noah.” She whimpered as her body weakened. And that sound was enough to put him over the edge.

He exploded, filling her, holding her.
